My training methods enhance and promote the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, development, attitude and aptitude of every horse. At FlyAway we customize a training program that respects your horse’s unique abilities.
Using classical horsemanship, positive reinforcement, the Tellington Method (TTEAM/TTouch), and effective, humane techniques, we develop a step by step plan to help your horse perform at their best. Our stress-free training expands your horse’s ability to learn and desire to cooperate with the rider.
Owners are encouraged to participate in the training process so that they can develop a trusting partnership with their horse that makes for a safe and mutually enjoyable relationship. Let’s discuss how we can help with your horse’s training and performance.
.
Honoring the MInd, Body and Spirit of the Horse.
The Tellington Method has three components. Tellington TTouch, a form of body work comprised of a variety of circle, lifts and slides done withthe hands and fingertips. Coupled with carefully orchestrated ground exercises and ridden work, the Tellinton Method dramatically expands and improves a horse's capacity for learning and cooperation, improves horse and rider balance and coordination and deepens the horse-human bond.
For over 30 years, the key concepts of the Tellington Method have been Cooperation rather than Competition, Positive action rather than Reaction; Acceptance rather than judgement; and a core Understanding that Agression comes from a place of Fear."
"Linda's training techniques are some of the most humane ever developed. Pain is never the solution to a training problem, it is only a distraction to what we want the horse to focus on." says John Lyons. "Her light hands on horses get results."
