Artemis is 7 years old, 3/4 TB 1/4 Percheron, and is a little bit over 16.1 H. Her owner purchased her as a barely green broke 5 year old and has taken it very slowly and PATIENTLY with her in respect for the slower maturity rate of draft crosses.  For this reason she is 100% sound, physically and mentally, and ready for whatever job is in her future life!

Artemis is very smart, athletic, strong and learns quickly. She absolutely loves to jump more than anything!  I have never seen, or had her stop at anything in the field or at her level of show and competition.

Artemis is now in her 3rd season of hunting and going beautifully.  Brave, smart, surefooted and handy.  Goes "on the buckle".  Stands quietly at checks.  Happy in the front or the back.  Steady to the fences.  She's a real pleasure!
 
Artemis has also shown in local jumper shows and has competed in local events at Basic Novice (2006) and Novice Horse Level (2007-2008). She has never once been out of the ribbons. Last spring 2008, she was 2nd at Redlands with 28 in dressage and 7th at Rubicon with a 32 in dressage.  She is ready to go Training Level and has the potential to go Preliminary.

Artemis is best with an ambitious rider who wants hunt and compete. She will easily bond with women, but she is a loving and kind horse, good ground manners, easy keeper, loads well, and gets along with other horses in the field.

Owner must sell due to recent surgery that will keep her out of the saddle for a long time and limit future riding.
 
This lovely mare is priced to sell at $15,000 but all offers will be considered.. Artemis is boarded in Middleburg, VA.
